You have the same thought I had last night just don’t know GP well enough yet. On the Wavestation the function of the joystick is to mix in real time the four different waveforms/samples that make up the selected patch. The third stick is truly a joystick, moves freely in any direction and stays where you put it. The second stick is loaded up/down, but does not self-center so it functions like a mod wheel. The first from the left is spring-loaded left/right and self centers, so it acts as a pitch bend controller. But, yes, you’re correct, the SL88, which btw has a stellar weighted action, has what at first glance is three joysticks. Hate to repeat it again - but very non-tech-y here. (If you have any questions, just ask - since many of us live in diffrent time zones, there is most likely somone present to answer ) So just grab two (i.e.) fader widgets, midi-learn each one to a joystick-axis, so they will move with your stick, then VST-learn those widgets to the respective X/Y parameter of the Wavestation VST (there is a “learn” button which makes it easier to get the right parameter!)… that should be it. I don’t see any chance to distinguish from which axis the data is going out…īut i just saw that the SL88 has three joysticks, so there might be a good chance that it could work with your keyboard, since stick #3 seems to be freely configurable. If the joysticks on your controller have the same functionality like mine, then it won’t be possible to use the selfcentering Pitchbend joystick for this purpose: Even though it seems to be a XY-controller, it only sends pitchbend data, no matter wich axis is moved. Since i use a Studiologic controller too (it’s a Numa Compact 2x), i (guess) know their joysticks…
